Gothic Remake

Character’s developing is related with laborious improving our hero’s attributes. To achieve that, first we have to get enough amount of experience and promote to higher level to gain few skill points. Next it is necessary to go to a right teacher, which will share his knowledge with us. A solely exception are hitpoints, which we gain passively while promoting to the next levels.

A development of a character is not only improving physical abilities. We have to remeber about getting better equipment giving us protection against various kinds of damage.

Experience points and Skill points

  • Experience points – represent your growth through combat and completed tasks. Gain enough to advance in level and earn new skill points.

Attributes

Besides attributes’ development through training at the teachers we can get some points by eating special food and drink the potions.

In comparison to original Gothic 1 from 2001 Alkimia Interactive added TOUGHNESS attribute. To make matters worse a description of the attribute suggests, that LOAD LIMIT will be introduced, and his exceeding will limit our movement.

  • Health – is your physical endurance. The more health you have, the more damage you can sustain before falling. Your health will increase with experience, keeping you resilient against ever-stronger foes.
  • Mana – fuels your magical abilities. Mana is consumed while casting spells and does not regenerate independently, so plan your rest and item consumption accordingly.
  • Strength – expresses your physical prowess. The greater your strength, the more powerful weapons you can wield and the more damaging your melee attacks will be.
  • Dexterity – represents your mastery, balance and control over your body. It determines the ranged weapons you can use and improves your ranged attack effectiveness and chance of success while pickpocketing.

Increasing our resistance is performed by equipping better equipment. Armour, amulets and rings are only elements, which can help us with it.
